is Goldengate the best choice for replicating my on-premises PostgreSQL database to AWS RDS?

I want to setup an on-going replication of my on-premises PostgreSQL database with AWS Aurora for six months or so, until I can completely turn off my local database.

I’ve heard that Goldengate is the most sophisticated real-time database syncing tool so was wondering if this would be a good option. I know there is a licensing fee, but cost is not a huge factor for me provided it is the best solution.

Also, isn’t there a new pay as you go cloud based version of Goldengate I can use for doing my replication to AWS? Maybe that would be cheaper than the traditional Goldengate product licensing.
