DigitalOcean – Droplet + Plesk + WordPress? And what else for security?

Hello Everybody,

I want to move away from Cl0udWays and go to digitaloceans instead. I was thinking of using their plesk repository to then install wordpress. Is that a fine/reasonable build for a newbie?

Also, I read their needs to be security in place, so I also read about the security implementations I should do from these 2 links: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/an-introduction-to-securing-your-linux-vps https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/recommended-security-measures-to-protect-your-servers

Is there anything else I should do or implement?

And doing automated server updates a good idea?

Do updates ever cause a server or websites on that server to “break”, like how a wordpress website may break if a theme or plugin is incompatible when updating the core cms? Can I stage a server before updating? Is that good or pointless?
