Should a beginner with no understanding/technical knowledge of WordPress/websites pay for Managed WordPress Hosting?

I plan to create my first website on WordPress. No e-commerce. Focused on regular publishing of informational content/images organized within a collection of pages (unsure of how many). Probably also a blog component.

I can’t figure out if I should pay for fully Managed WordPress Hosting. Most searches come up with basic shared plans being enough, however, then I come across other searches saying if you don’t have any experience or technical knowledge, then you are safer with paying for fully Managed WordPress Hosting. I have been looking at A2 Hosting (Managed 1-Site $14.99/mo) and KnownHost (Managed Entry Level WP $11.95/mo). Help please! I am so confused and unsure of what I should do … is it too big of a risk for me to try to do it without fully Managed WordPress Hosting?
