I’m pushing for SiteGround to host our new wordpress website, but my manager is arguing against it because it doesn’t give you root access to install plugins or otherwise that require it.

I’m all for getting SiteGround, but my boss is on the fence because of the root access situation. I don’t foresee myself needing this root access for anything. Am I wrong? Are there really cool plugins I’ll miss out on because of it? I feel like the only way to get root access to to manage a server myself, and the opportunity cost of being able to not happy to have to worry about security patching, installing wordpress, etc is not worth whatever things not having root access will allow me to do. Thanks for any help

Edit: Thanks for all the answers everyone, super helpful in clearing things up for me and giving me a good path forward. Much appreciated!
